Barney's Version

Paul Giamatti stars in the new film "Barney's Version," the adaptation of the late Mordecai Richler's novel, as the thrice-married Barney Panofksy. When I asked him if he had ever been to a Jewish wedding, Giamatti said he himself had a Jewish wedding, but it was a "low-key, hippie affair with no hora." Costar Minnie Driver, who plays his second wife, said she worked with the JCC of Montreal to help her convincingly portray a Canadian Jewish woman. Read the full review of the film here. "Barney's Version" opens in New York City this Friday.
