HOME BIBLE STUDY-for men and ladies interested in comparing Islam with Christianity. This will be a 6-week study led by Charlotte Bonelli - meeting Mondays at 2pm beginning October 8 at the home of Tommy and Sheila Ward (call the church office for phone numbers/address)   

 

 

Strength Team Event Pep Rally

Sunday, October 14 @ 6pm - First Baptist Church of Warrington will join Myrtle Grove Baptist members for evening worship as we prayerfully anticipate the upcoming Strength Team Event.

 

Deacon Ordination/Yokefellow Commissioning

Sunday, October 21 @ 6pm -The ordination of new deacons and the commissioning of new yokefellows will take place during our evening service. We encourage our church family to come out and support these men as they begin their new ministry for the Lord.

  

  

  

The STRENGTH TEAM is coming . . .

October 24-28, 2012

Mike Hagen, along with members of the Strength Team will be here in Escambia County ministering in the public schools during the day along with nightly presentations.   

  

 

Volunteer for the Strength Team Event

 

Please prayerfully consider serving as a volunteer during the Strength Team Event. The Volunteer Card in today's bulletin lists many opportunities available for you to be a part of this evangelistic effort. Sign the Volunteer Card and drop it in the offering plate. You will be contacted.  

 

Needed for the Strength Team Event:

 

Old automobile license plates, iron horseshoes, and old telephone books. Members are asked to donate these items to be used by the Strength Team during their nightly presentations here at MGBC. Bring these items to the church office as soon as possible.

  

 

 

FALL FAMILY FESTIVAL is just around the corner. On Wednesday, October 31st from 6:00 - 8:00pm, our church will once again offer the children of the Myrtle Grove and surrounding communities an alternative to trick-or-treat. We need your help in making this a special event for these children. Individually wrapped candy donations are needed. Boxes have been placed in the church office and the FLC.

Jane Rasmussen Health Kit Project. Please donate small toiletries.

Motel/hotel shampoos, etc., work really well.  

The following items also are needed: razors, shaving cream, deodorant for male/female, combs, toothpaste, toothbrushes, wash cloths, small towels, hand sanitizer, and bars of soap.

 

A box is located at the entrance to the church office to receive your donations.  

 

If you wish to write a check for this, make it out to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church and mark for Jane Rasmussen Health Kit Project and turn it into the church office.

FALL FAMILY FESTIVAL:  Saturday
Wednesdayh, October 31, 2012, 6pm-8pm in the Family Life Center.  Individually wrapped candy is needed.  Please place your donations in the yellow box marked "Fall Family Festival Candy" which is located in the church office area.

Upward Basketball & Cheerleading Registration: Registration is now open for boys and girls, grades K through 6, to be a part of our Upward Basketball & Cheerleading season.

 

Registration fee is only $65 ($75 after November 4th.)

 

Registration forms are available on the Upward table in the foyer. If you would like to provide a scholarship for a child, please see Ron Pouliot.
