Upward Soccer Coaches & Referee Training: Training sessions will be held in the Family Life Center on Monday, August 6th, Tuesday, August 7th, and Wednesday, August 8th at 6:00pm. Each coach/referee is required to attend one of the scheduled sessions.

KEENAGERS: You are invited to have lunch after church on Sunday, August 12th, 2012, in the FLC with other KEENAGERS members. There will not be a charge for the meal which will be catered by Lorna Browning, however RSVP to Neil/Barbara or the church office is requested.

Our FOOD PANTRY needs canned meats, soup, stew, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, and canned fruits and vegetables (15 oz). REMEMBER, each time you shop for your family pick up a few extra canned goods for our Food Pantry. Place your donations in the marked containers located throughout the church facilities.

KEENAGERS MYSTERY TRIP: If you are interested in going on a two-day/one night trip on Thursday & Friday, October 18 & 19, 2012, and did not sign up at the meeting on 7/3/12, please contact Neil Thorsen and get your name on the list. The cost will be $115.00 for one person to a room, $75.00 per person for two to a room, and $60.00 per person for three to a room. More details to be announced at a later date.

Andrew desires to help people take control of their financial future, working to help them create a secure retirement. Will You Help Share the Love of Jesus?

School will soon be back in session and many of our area children will need help in obtaining their school supplies. As in previous years, we are now collecting school supplies to be given to our "Partners in Education" at Myrtle Grove & Sherwood Elementary Schools.

Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me"

The following items are needed:

Pencils, pencil-top erasers, pencil boxes, red ink pens, highlighters, duo-tang folders, backpacks, white copy paper, kleenex, paper towels, hand sanitizer.

Many of the other items {paper, crayons, markers, etc.} are provided to the schools through the "Cram the Van" program.

Please bring your school supplies to the Church Office or to the Minister to Children & Families' Office located in the Family Life Center.

Family Fun Day - August 11

MGBC Children's Ministry invites you to join us for an end of summer family outing at Sam's Fun/Surf City on Saturday, August 11th.
