Pastor Ron begins a new sermon series entitled,

 

"The Seven Churches of the Book of Revelation." In this new sermon series we will discover spiritual truths that will help us prepare for living out our Christian lives here in the "last days."  

 

Don't miss a single Sunday and be sure to invite your neighbors and friends.

 

Also we will BAPTIZE new believers this morning during the 10:30am worship service.  

 

Pastor's New Member Orientation will be held today at 4pm in the Holy Grounds Cafe for new members who have recently joined our church family as well as those who may be interested in church membership. If you are interested in participating you may sign up by writing your name and telephone number on the welcome tab attached to the bulletin. .  

 

This evening at 6:00 Pm Rev Marco Smith will bring the message.

January 2012 Meeting

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012, at 10am in the fellowship hall.

 

Our program will be presented by Mr. Stephen Guttmann, Attorney at Law.

 

He will speak on "Living Wills, Wills, and Guardianships."    

 

Please DO NOT BRING ANY FOOD, (maybe a little extra cash if you can).  

 

The lunch is being prepared by Lorna for our "Birthday Bash" and paid for by the Keenagers.

Starting Jan 22nd

A 40-day focus on the great hymns of the Christian faith  

 

Beginning in January, we will focus on several great hymns and the stories behind the composing of those hymns.

 

In addition, our pastor will preach messages on the doctrinal truths contained in these hymns of our faith.  

 

During the 40-day focus you will hear testimonies from various choir members and church musicians who will share their joy of being a part of our worship team.

 

Finally, there will be a major emphasis on building up our church choir.  

 

We will be looking for 15-20 new voices to join the choir   

 

Please be in prayer for this special focus event.

CSM....
Volunteers Needed.

 

Our Christian Social Ministries is in need of adult men and women to serve in various areas on Tuesday morning from 8:30am to 11:45am.

 

Our current workers have done a great job in providing ministry and care for the nearly 100 (approximate number) persons who come for help each week.  

 

Unfortunately, some of our faithful volunteers will not be able to continue on a consistent basis in 2012.  

 

Therefore, we need another six or seven volunteers from our membership who would be willing to serve on Tuesday mornings in the following areas of ministry:

 

1. For the food distribution: People who could help distribute the bags and assist in carrying the groceries to the vehicles for the elderly that come for assistance.

 

2. Members who can help in the clerical aspect of the food ministry, filling out forms and data in the interview process.

 

3. Others who can assist in traffic control.

 

If you are willing to serve in any one of these areas in 2012, please call the church office and leave your name and phone number and you will be contacted.


 

 
Sweetheart Banquet

2012 Sweetheart Banquet  

 

 5pm - Fellowship Hall

 

 

The banquet will be a Hawaiian Luau. Cost is $30 per couple. Call Bob Taylor,  for reservations. Entertainment will be provided by Derwin Hinson. You may check him out at DerwinHinson.com.
