MGBC - Nov 13, 2011
Greetings!

TODAY . . . .

Our Pastor will continue the sermon series of messages

for November, entitled, "Courageous Living." These messages were inspired by the movie, Courageous.

Today's Sermon Topic: Warriors or Wimps - Which Is It?

Veterans Day Observance: Today we honor

men and women who have served their country faithfully throughout our history as a nation. Their contributions to preserving our freedom here in America cannot be measured simply in words. Yet we set aside a day every year to try to do that very thing. To express with our words our deep gratitude for those who defend freedom.   Special music will include our "Salute to the Armed Forces" as well as other patriotic music.

CHRISTIAN

SOCIAL                                                                                                   MINISTRIES

As Thanksgiving is approaching followed by the

Christmas season, human needs seem to increase at this time of year. Many families within our community find themselves out of work with limited resources. Our Christian Social Ministries which consists of food, clothing, and medical screening, as well as limited financial aid, seeks to meet some of the needs that these families face. These services along with our Christmas shoeboxes that we provide for needy children in our elementary schools are some of the ways that we can bring Christ to our community.

Our Food Pantry needs donations. Canned

vegetables, fruits, and soup, as well as spaghetti noodles, are especially needed at this time. Volunteers at CSM work very hard to get people fed. Thank you for your support. Please continue to donate to this ministry of our church.

Christmas Shoe Boxes: Can you believe it is

that time of year already? Lists of suggested items are located in the Sunday School Departments and on the welcome desk in the foyer. Boxes will be delivered to the schools on Monday, December 5th. For more information see Ron Pouliot.

Pledge Cards.......

PLEDGE CARDS: Remember, it is not too late to turn in a pledge card. Pledge cards are available at the information table in the main foyer or on the "Investing in the Kingdom" display table. You may turn in the cards in the offering plates during the worship service or drop them off at the church office during regular church business hours.

Copies of the 2012 Proposed Church Budget are available on the info counter in the church foyer.   For approval of our proposed budget, a secret ballot vote will be taken during our church business meeting on Wednesday, November 16 at 6pm.
