VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

June 20-24, 2011

(Monday through Friday)

9am - 12pm

Ages 5 years through 6th grade

Registration is now open for this year's adventure in the "Big Apple."  Registration forms are available in the worship center foyer and in the church office.  Carol Larsen will be in the fellowship hall following Kidz All Starz this morning to accept registration forms.  

Snack items needed:  Yellow and white cake mix, white frosting, flat bottom ice cream cones, Goldfish crackers, Animal crackers, Maraschino cherries, Ranch dressing, Honey Nut Cheerios, Captain Crunch, Fruit Loops, M&M's, pretzels, Hawaiian Punch (gallon containers of  blue and green punch), presweetened yellow and pink lemonade, and skittles.  A box is located in the church office to receive donations of snack items.  (Monetary donations will also be accepted; designate for VBS snacks.)

VBS Promotional Blitz

We will go into the neighborhood and distribute VBS flyers.  A snack supper will be served.  ALL ARE WELCOME!

Joint Worship Service / VBS Family Day

Sunday, June 26 @ 10:30am

Sunday, June 26th, we will begin a new DVD-based marriage course by

Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, which is based on his book, "Love and Respect."  This course is great for couples who have been married for years, recently married, are engaged, or for singles.  There is $10 a workbook (not required), so please sign up at the info table or in the cafe.  We will meet for 7 weeks on Sunday evenings from 4:00-6:00pm in the Holy Grounds Cafe.

Student Ministry News:

On June 19th, there will be an IMPORTANT meeting for all students attending summer camp and their parents.  We will meet at 11:45am in the Student Center. 

Any donations for the "student camp scholarship fund" should be appropriately designated and placed in the offering plate. 

On June 17th, we will serve the men at Waterfront Rescue Mission.  Please be at the church by 5pm.

Tuesday Night Outreach - 6:30pm

Join us on Tuesday evenings to visit homes in our community and share the love of Jesus.  Meet in fellowship hall at 6:30pm.

The Finance Committee is now accepting proposals for the 2012 Budget Year.  You will find a blank MGBC BUDGET PROPOSAL FORM in the foyer.  The deadline for submitting your request is Friday, July 15th at noon.  Completed forms need to be turned in to Cami Simmons in her office.  Thank you.

NOTE:  Anyone interested in going on a trip to Nashville with the Keenagers, Nov 28th, 29th, and 30th, contact Neil Thorsen for details. The cost will be about $350.00 per person.
