We will observe the Ordinance of THE LORD'S SUPPER in both the Contemporary and Blended Worship Services today.  Additionally, deacons & yokefellows will take The Lord's Supper to our homebound members this afternoon.

Bolivia Children's Ministry Display

We will be ministering to preschool age children, and we must take all the materials and supplies needed.  All the toys and materials will be left with the local pastors.  You can be a part of this ministry opportunity by donating items, either new or gently used.  You may make a monetary contribution to purchase the supplies.  Please come to the display tables in the foyer TODAY to see samples of the items needed.  Bring your donations to the church office no later than June 18.  Floor puzzles, water colors, large Legos (for children 2-5), children's doctor kit, small light-weight cars, trucks, play dough, sidewalk chalk, large size crayons, coloring books for preschoolers, beach balls, plastic animals, 3-4 small dolls, donations for small Bible character puppets, animal masks, and arts and crafts supplies.  Also needed are 6 plastic flannel-back tablecloths, 7-8 large containers of Clorox Wipes.  Thank you for caring and sharing.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

June 20-24 (Monday through Friday) 9am - 12pm

Ages 5 years through 6th grade

Registration is now open for this year's adventure in the "Big Apple."  Registration forms are available in the worship center foyer and in the church office.  Workers are still needed in the following areas:  Kindergarten Teacher; Third Grade Teacher and Assistant; and Recreation Teachers.  

 

Training dates for workers are scheduled for today, Sunday May 29th and June 5th at 4:30pm in room 211.  If you can be a part of our VBS team, please see Carol Larsen or

      Ron Pouliot soon.    

 

Snack items needed:  Ranch dressing, Honey Nut Cheerios, Captain Crunch, Fruit Loops, M&M's, pretzels, Hawaiian Punch (gallon containers of  blue and green punch), pre-sweetened yellow and pink lemonade, and skittles.  A box is located in the church office to receive donations of snack items.  (Monetary donations will also be accepted; designate for VBS.)

This will be a great time to be a witness for our Lord.  I would like to encourage every member of our church to plan to be present for this service.  Be on hand to welcome the guests who will be here to see their graduating son or daughter march down the aisle.  Shake hands and welcome each one with a warm smile.

New Bible Fellowship Group: 


 

NEW Marriage Course-Sunday, June 26th, we will begin a new DVD-based marriage course by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, which is based on his book, "Love and Respect."  This course is great for couples who have been married for years, recently married, are engaged, or for singles who desire to be married one day. Together we will learn key Biblical principles for building and maintaining a vibrant and healthy marriage. There is a workbook that is $10, but is not required for the class. Please sign up for this class at the info table or in the cafe. We will meet for 7 weeks on Sunday evenings from 4:00-6:00pm.

Graduate Recognition

Graduates will be recognized on Sunday, June 5, during the 9:15am and 10:30am services.  Please submit names of 2011 graduates to the church office by Wednesday, including name of high school or college/university.

 

Reminder

 

Contributions for the Student Ministry summer camp should be designated "Youth Scholarship Fund" and placed in the offering plate. 







Jeremy Phillips, our Student Minister, 

will bring the morning messages at 9:15am and 10:30am on Sunday, June 5.  Jeremy has been with us less than a year and so much has already been accomplished within our student ministry!  Don't miss the opportunity to hear Jeremy preach next Sunday. 

 

Special Father's Day Blessing! 

Mike Facciani is coming back to visit Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. You will remember Mike who was with the Strength Team during our February crusade.  He sang that powerful song "You Saved the Day."   Mike will be here on Father's Day, June 19.  He will sing in the morning worship services and present a concert during the evening service.
