Greetings!
This Sunday morning Pastor Ron will bring the message: "When You Believe in God but Trust in Money"
Also, the Praize Kidz will be singing in both the Contemporary and the Blended service. They sure seem to make a joyful noise while they are learning about God's Word (don't let them know they are learning - that would spoil the fun!).
Sincerely, Myrtle Grove Myrtle Grove Baptist Church

Barnabas Group Disaster Relief Spiritual Training Seminar/Event
What in the world is this anyhow?
October
16,
10am - 3pm @ MGBC
Purpose of the Barnabas
Group
It is in the book of Acts that we are first
introduced to Barnabas. His name literally means, "Son of Encouragement."
Hence, the name of our Spiritual Care
Group, we are to encourage (a calling to one's aid).
Encourage the depressed victims to
courageously move forward stimulating them to reach out - rebuild, and introduce
hope into their lives, their families, and their future.
To touch hurting souls,
their broken hearts, their shattered lives, help them to overcome the ravages
wrought by crisis/disaster.
Our Main Purpose is to share the Gospel with the
lost and encourage the believer within a disaster sensitive area.
When faced with the aftermath of devastation people
do not care about credentials, diplomas, etc. They look for kindness and
understanding.
They need a shoulder on which to cry, a word of encouragement,
a listening ear, and a heart of compassion.
A compassion born out of our love for Jesus
Christ.
It is love, compassion, and understanding the victim longs
to hear, more importantly, see. People do not care what you believe, until they believe that you
care.
May our Lord bless you as you tenderly minister in
and to this lost and dying world and remember
we are not doing so for victory, we do so from victory!
For the Beautiful Cause of Our
Beautiful Savior,
A Member of
Barnabas
A crisis or disaster does not have to be a huge event such as a hurricane. Families face trials and serious tribulations every day in our community.
This seminar will teach and assist you in the right things to say and do - and how to avoid saying and doing the wrong things.
For
more information, you may:
Call the Disaster Relief office at the Florida Baptist
Convention 1-800-226-8584,

On Sunday,
October 31st from 5:00 - 7:00pm,
our church will once again offer the children of the Myrtle Grove and
surrounding communities an alternative to trick-or-treat.
We need your help in making this a special
event for these children.
Individually
wrapped candy donations are needed.
Boxes have been placed in the church office and the
FLC.
Remember kids to tell your parents/grandparents that costumes are fine but please no witches, goblins or ghosts... Some of us grownups may need to wear a costume to avoid confusion.

to make biblical costumes suitable to be used in choral productions (Christmas,
Easter, etc.).
