Greetings!
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR: Dear
Church Family:
This
week, I will be leaving for Orlando, Florida, to attend the Southern Baptist
Convention.
Please be in prayer for this
year's convention; some serious issues will be discussed and voted on as well
as the election of a new president.
Our
convention carries a significant spiritual influence on our nation.
Ask God to both protect and bless the work of
our denomination that we may continue to shine brightly as His witnesses.
Share Your Story . . .
. Share God's Love!
This
summer, on July 13 and July 20 (Tuesday nights) we shall once again be knocking
on doors in the neighborhood.
We are
calling on members of our fellowship to please join us in this evangelistic
effort.
We be distributing literature
about our church as well as offering prayers for those we visit.
Begin now clearing your calendar for those
dates.
We will go out at 6:30pm and
return no later than 7:45pm. SEE YOU
THERE!
Sincerely, Pastor Ron Myrtle Grove Baptist Church |

FBC Disaster Relief.....
Meeting today - 5:00 PM
Calling all FBC Disaster Relief and Recovery members: June is
Disaster Relief and Recovery month.
Please wear your yellow or blue shirts on Sundays this month.
We want to place a great emphasis on this
month, remembering that hurricane season has begun.
Predictions are that this may be a bad year
and certainly we need to be prepared.
I want to thank all of you who attended
training in Ft. Walton Beach on June 5th, and all of you who are already
trained.
Everyone I spoke with said it was great.
I have two yellow hats and
two shirts, size large, given by Richard Main, if anyone needs one.
We are looking forward to starting our own team
here at Myrtle Grove.
I would like to have a meeting with ALL Disaster Relief team members today at 5pm in
fellowship hall to discuss where we want to go from here.
I look forward to
meeting you all.
Patrick G. McCann, Sr., Director, MGBC Disaster Relief and Recovery And Chaplain

VBS Celebration Day
June 27th - Combined Service
We will have a combined worship service at 10:30am to
celebrate our week of VBS. This will be an exciting time as we welcome
our VBS families, our contempory service family, and our blended service
family
in one service. The children will fill
the stage and sing many of the songs they learned and we will share what
the
Lord has done during this week of outreach to our community. Ron
Pouliot will bring a message reminding
all ages that God cares about us and has a plan for each one of us no
matter
our age. Come dressed in your "western
apparel." So "partner," quit your
"pondrin," and put on your cowboy hats, boots, and bandannas and join us
at
Saddle Ridge Ranch! Why don't you lasso
your neighbors and friends and bring them along!. |

If you have not bee in the balcony lately - and seen all the "stuff" around the sound booth and the projection equipment you may want to wander up there before the service begins and take a look. There are a lot of knobs, buttons, dials, wires (oh, are there wires), and it is really pretty nice how it all comes together. What there is not a lot of is "people" - and people make all this work.
Warning: If you do pay a visit and express the slightest interest in how something works you may very well get recruited into helping - hey, that would be a good thing!
| |
Dedication: noun, from the 14th century - If you looked it up there would be a picture of the sound/video/projection crew.
