Once again, we focus on our nursery/preschool ministry needs.

The need for volunteers to serve in the nursery/preschool area is urgent.

 We encourage each member to pray and consider the possibility of serving on a volunteer/rotation basis this year.

SIGN UP: Sheila Ward will be in the foyer today after both worship services to sign up volunteers or you may contact Amanda Tatro in the Nursery/Preschool area at the Family Life Center for information
or to sign up as a volunteer.

 God will bless you and you will be a blessing to the most vulnerable of our church family.

Myrtle Grove Baptist Church is accepting applications for two paid positions in the Nursery/Preschool Division.

Hours are 9am-noon on Sundays. If interested, contact Chris Larsen for an application.

 

KEENAGERS MEETING: Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, May 4th, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Big Lagoon State Park.

 This is our annual fish fry; therefore, please bring a covered dish that will go with fish.

The "Hurricane Alley Cats" will be playing music for us.

You need to be prepared to pay the gate entry fee which will be: 1 person 1 vehicle $4.00 - 1 vehicle up to 8 people $6.00.

If you are riding the church bus, the cost will be $2.00 per person.

It's that time of year again!

The weather is beautiful and it's time for the Myrtle Grove church family to get out and have some fun.

Please plan now to be a part of our church-wide picnic and Baptism in the Bay celebration.

Picnic will begin at approximately 1pm at Blue Angel Naval Recreation Area.

The menu will be hamburgers / hotdogs with all the trimmings - drinks included.

Registration available in 3 different ways:

We need every member who plans to come to fill out the information and turn it in so we can get an accurate count on food preparation & cost.

Bring your lawn chairs and have a great time of fellowship, food and celebrate folks being baptized in the bay.

If you have already registered online, or by phone, you ARE registered - please be sure to get your check/payment to Cami Simmons as soon as possible - this is needed for planning purposes.  Checks should be made out to MGBC & indicate "picnic" in the memo area.

Once again we have the privilege of honoring all of our mothers here at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.

 This year, please consider doing something extra special for the mother in your life.

This fall, October 15-16, the Fresh Grounded Faith Conference for Women will be held here in Pensacola at Hillcrest Baptist Church.

A special pre-registration discount on tickets for this event is available now (early-bird special $29 per person for groups of ten or more).

Men, fathers, husbands,and adult children, plan now to pre-register the mom in your life.

Next Sunday morning a registration table will be available in the foyer.

You may sign up to reserve your space next Sunday morning.

All registration fees will be due by June 6.

To make your payment, please make out your check to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.

 You may drop off your check to Cami Simmons (Financial Secretary) at her office or you may mail it in to the church (Attention: Cami, Financial Secretary).

 

Escambia High School Baccalaureate - May 30

This year, Myrtle Grove Baptist will be honoring our 2010 high school and college graduates.

 Please call the church office and provide the names of your graduates as well as the name of their school or university.

 We are proud of our young adults and want to encourage each of them in a very special way.

In addition to recognizing our own graduates, we will once again provide a Baccalaureate Service for Escambia High School graduates.

This will take place on May 30 at 2pm in the main sanctuary.

Please pray that God will touch the hearts of these graduates and that we will have a great turnout on that Sunday.
