MGBC Nursery-Preschool Focus
Sunday and Wednesday Services & Activities.
baby

Last Sunday morning Mrs. Sheila Ward encouraged our church family to focus, once again, on our nursery/preschool ministry needs.

The need for volunteers to serve in the nursery/preschool area is urgent.

We encourage each member to pray and consider the possibility of serving on a volunteer/rotation basis this year.

A workshop/brunch event is planned for Saturday, May 1.

Information, along with guidelines for serving in this area, will be presented at this workshop for parents, volunteers and those who are interested in serving in this ministry.

SIGN UP: Immediately following the worship service today on the way to our fellowship dinner, please stop by the Nursery/Preschool information table in the FLC foyer area and sign up for the brunch and/or volunteer.

God will bless you and you will be a blessing to the most vulnerable of our church family.

Two employees are needed to work in the Nursery on Sundays and Wednesdays as scheduled.

You may contact Chris Larsen for information.

Once again we have the privilege of honoring all of our mothers here at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.

This year, please consider doing something extra special for the mother in your life.

This fall, October 15-16, the Fresh Grounded Faith Conference for Women will be held here in Pensacola at Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Discount tickets will be available to purchase on Mother's Day before and after the worship services.

Buy a ticket for your mom or the mother of your children.

It's a great way to say, "I Love You, You're Special."

More information will be coming next week.
Church Wide Picnic & Baptism in the Bay
May 16th
picnic

It's that time of year again!

The weather is beautiful and it's time for the Myrtle Grove church family to get out and have some fun.

Please plan now to be a part of our church-wide picnic and Baptism in the Bay celebration.

Picnic will begin at approximately 1pm at Blue Angel Naval Recreation Area.

Registration will begin today.

Please take note of the insert inside the bulletin.

We need every member who plans to come to fill out the information and turn it in so we can get an accurate count on food preparation.

DON'T MISS OUT!

Graduate Recognition
May 23rd

Escambia High School Baccalaureate - May 30

This year, Myrtle Grove Baptist will be honoring our 2010 high school and college graduates.

Please call the church office and provide the names of your graduates as well as the name of their school or university.

We are proud of our young adults and want to encourage each of them in a very special way.

In addition to recognizing our own graduates, we will once again provide a Baccalaureate Service for Escambia High School graduates.

This will take place on May 30 at 2pm in the main sanctuary.

Please pray that God will touch the hearts of these graduates and that we will have a great turnout on that Sunday.

Dear church family:

Thank you for the honor accorded me by electing me as the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Director and chaplain for Myrtle Grove Baptist church.

I take this position very seriously for two reasons.

First, because it is God ordained. I have seen the work up close and personal and what is accomplished by these teams in the name of Jesus Christ and the warm thanks given to those who serve. God gets the glory, praise and honor when we do things in His Name.

Second, I believe in what we are doing is a vital part of our service back not only to our community, but to God.

Let me encourage you to be a vital link in our Myrtle Grove Disaster Relief chain.

All of us can do something. No one has ever been turned down that I am aware of.

I also would like to encourage you to step up and attend the training session to be held in Fort Walton on June 5th.

Within a week following I would like to meet with all those who have been to training and those still interested..

Thanks again, this is the beginning of something new. Please remember this mission in your daily thoughts and prayers
