Starting today, I will begin a new series of messages entitled, "Share Your Story." This series of messages will focus on men and women from the Bible (both from the Old Testament and the New Testament) who shared their personal experiences with God. Their stories will both challenge and inspire each one of us to become a bold witness for Christ. Pastor Ron

Keenagers:
KEENAGERS: Our 2010 January meeting will be on the 5th at 10:00 AM in the fellowship hall. This meeting will be our annual "birthday bash." Our entertainment will be a professional singer, Mrs. Saundra Daggs. You will not be asked to bring any food as everything will be provided. Lunch will be barbeque pulled pork with all the sides. Due to the cost of the food everyone is requested to come prepared to give a little extra this month, if possible, to cover the cost of the meal. For additional information, contact Neil Thorsen,
-We only have a few tickets for the Roy Clark Show, Monday, February 15th, 2010 in Gulf Shores. Cost for the tickets and transportation is $45.00 per person. Contact Neil Thorsen for additional information. (Tickets are sold out and you will not be able to get them at the door.)

Children's Choirs and Activities will resume on Wednesday, January 6 @ 6pm.
Wednesday night Bible Study: Beginning, Wednesday, January 6 at 6pm, Pastor Ron will begin a new Bible study on the Book of Genesis. Be here on the first Wednesday of the New Year for prayer and a study of the first book of the Bible!
Quilts on Mission will meet on Thursday, January 7, 10am - 2pm in fellowship hall. Bring a lunch
DEACON/YOKEFELLOW CORNER:
· Deacon/Yokefellow Breakfast: Saturday, January 30 @ 7am in fellowship hall.
· Deacon/Yokefellow Meeting: Monday, February 1 @ 7pm in fellowship hall.
The brotherhood will host a Sweetheart Banquet on Saturday, February 13 at 6:00 PM in the FLC. All couples interested in attending contact Bob Taylor . Deadline to register is 31 Jan.
MGBC Food Pantry needs canned vegetables, fruits, spaghetti sauce, etc. Place items in the containers which are located throughout the church facilities. (Cans should not be larger than 20 oz.) Please donate generously!
Let's help keep our needy neighbors warm! Donations of new Blankets, new Socks, and new Underwear are needed in the Clothing Room. Please give generously.

Discipleship University:
DISCIPLESHIP UNIVERSITY: Beginning in 2010 we have many great spiritual growth opportunities planned for you. All Sunday and Wednesday night classes will be held in the Holy Grounds Cafe. Please see the information table in the church foyer for more details. Sign up for your choices.
Sundays beginning January 31, 4:30pm - 6pm
· The Treasure Principle: Unlocking the Secret of Joyful Giving by Randy Alcorn leads the participant to discover six Biblical keys to unlocking true freedom and joy in Jesus' teachings about possessions. Leader: Jim Lee
· Esther: It's Not Easy Being A Woman by Beth Moore is a nine session study. If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seem overpowering, this is the study for you. Beth Moore applies the story of Esther to unearth treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried and pressured lives. Leader: Rhonda Pouliot
· The Man God Uses by Henry & Tom Blackaby is a seven session video driven study. This study aims to help men understand their encounter with God and how this encounter affects all areas of their lives: personal, family, work, church, and community. Leader: Dave Keighley
· The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of twelve one-hour sessions. This study will lead the participant to see the importance and relevance of living daily with a Christian worldview and helps the Christian to know what he believes and why he believes it. Leader: Phillip Emond
Wednesdays beginning January 27, 6pm-7pm
· Value Packed Parenting by Dr. Kevin Lehman is a video driven seven session study. Dr. Lehman addresses issues related to parents and children and how to raise down to earth well grounded children in a self-centered culture. Leader: Chris Larsen
