We welcome Rev. Ed Davis as our guest speaker today. Ed is currently the pastor of Victory Baptist Church in St. Marys, Georgia. He grew up here at MGBC and is the son of Mitch and Jean Davis. Ed is married to Kim and they have two daughters, Ashley and Kaitlin.

On Sunday morning, December 6, during both the contemporary service at 9:15am and the blended service at 10:30am, we will kick off our Week of Prayer for International Missions. Lottie Moon Christmas Offering envelopes will be made available. Our annual MARCH TO THE MANGER take place on Sunday, December 20. Begin now to prayerfully consider the amount of your gift to this International Missions offering this year.

Combined Worship Service: Dec 13

Combined Worship Service - Sunday, December 13 @ 10:30AM
Note for contemporary worshipers: Small Bible Fellowship Groups will meet from 9:15am - 10:15am rather than their regular schedule on this Sunday only.
We will then dismiss and join the blended worship service at 10:30am for a great worship celebration.
The Holy Grounds Cafe will be open from 9am-9:15am.
Our contemporary worship service and our blended worship service will come together for a joint service at 10:30am. This will be a special time of celebration of the Christmas season as we worship together.
Music for this joint service will be led by our contemporary praise team and our blended worship choir will present a Christmas musical entitled, "Only Love."

Deacon/Yokefellow Meeting:
Monday, Nov 30th - 7:00 PM Fellowdship Hall
Quilts on Mission will be meeting Thursday, December 3 at 10am in the fellowship hall. Please come with your lunch and learn something new. We will be looking for a new NAMB location to receive next year's quilts.
HOMEBOUND MINISTRY: Volunteers are needed in our Homebound Ministry to visit our homebound members and members in area nursing homes. Please contact our Homebound Ministry Coordinator, Shirley Johnston, for more information.
The Clothing Ministry is unable to accept clothes donations at this time due to limited storage space in the Clothing Room.
MGBC Food Pantry needs canned vegetables, fruits, spaghetti sauce, etc. Place items in the containers which are located throughout the church facilities. (Cans should not be larger than 20 oz.) Please donate generously

KEENAGERS: **Our monthly meeting will be Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Our program will be Ron and Rhonda Pouliot, (maybe Randy also). Please bring a covered dish or dessert.
**We only have a few tickets for the "Guy Lombardo's Royal Canadians" show on Monday, January 18th, 2010 at the Eric Myer Civic Center in Gulf Shores, AL. The cost for the ticket and transportation (Gulf Coast Tours Bus) is $33.00 per person. We will stop on the way at the Ryan Steak House in Foley for dinner (on you own) before going to the show. We only have a very few tickets available. The bus will leave the back of the church about 4:30 PM and return back at the church about 10:30 PM. For additional information contact Neil Thorsen.
**We only have a few tickets for the Roy Clark Show Monday, February 15th, 2010 in Gulf Shores. Cost for the tickets and transportation are $45.00 per person. Contact Neil Thorsen for additional information. (Tickets are sold out and you will not be able to get them at the door.)

Christmas Shoe Boxes: We will again be collecting gift boxes for needy students at our local elementary schools. Please wrap the top and bottom of the box separately and mark whether the box is for a boy or girl. We will deliver the boxes to the schools on Monday, December 7th. Please deliver completed boxes to the church office prior to that date. A list of suggested items is available in the lobby.
