Register Now for Fall Indoor Leagues
FVC is dedicated to providing the best adult recreational leagues in Northern Virginia. Please take a moment to review the following information before registering your team for the Fall indoor leagues. Registration will remain open through Wednesday, August 29.Note: "Fairfax Division" refers to teams that play in Fairfax County school gym space secured by FVC. "Fairfax West" refers to teams that play in Sterling, Virginia at the Dulles Sportsplex and the Virginia Volleyball Center.
Registration fee for all teams/divisions: Due to ongoing operational expenses, it is with a very heavy heart that FVC must increase the cost to register a team from $390 to $420 (only $5 more per player based a roster of six players). Since 2005, FVC has raised fees only twice. FVC evaluates every option before voting to increase fees. No "late registration" fees: During previous registration periods, the last week of registration has been considered "late registration" and teams would pay an additional fee. As long as teams register by midnight on Wednesday, August 29, no late fee will be assessed for your team's Fall league registration. $30-per-player "out of county" fee in Fairfax County: For teams that play in the Fairfax division, Fairfax County still requires FVC to collect and return to the county a $30-per-player fee for each player on the roster that does not live in Fairfax County. (No out-of-county fees are assessed for players in the Fairfax West division no matter where players live. Learn more about playing in the Fairfax West facilities.) "Team Management" system: Provide detailed information for each player when registering your team for the Fall session and then use the "Team Management" system to register your team in 30 seconds or less for all other leagues through July 31, 2013! Click here for details. (If you used this system prior to August 1, 2012, please note that your username and password are no longer valid. You will create a new username and password and use it to register your team through July 31, 2013.) No Spring session in the Fairfax Division for T/W/TH teams: Due to an increased demand from Fairfax County schools to use their gym space for SOL testing, school sports, etc., only teams that play on Mondays in the Fairfax Division will have Fall, Winter and Spring sessions. Teams that play in the Fairfax Division on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays will have only Fall and Winter sessions. Teams that normally play in the Spring league in the Fairfax Division may wish to consider playing in the Fairfax West division during the Spring and Summer sessions. Want to Play but Don't Have a Team? Sign up to Play in the NEW Mixer League.
Due to an overwhelming demand from players who don't have a team, FVC is pleased to announce a new league starting this September/October. The "Mixer League" will be offered in the Fairfax West division and teams will play on Tuesday nights in Sterling, Virginia at the Dulles Sportsplex or the Virginia Volleyball Center.
How it will work:
- You will play eight matches (each match is three games to 25 points) following a coed 6s format.
- Each week you will play with different people.
- At the end of the session, you will have the option to continue playing in the "Mixer League" or form your own team to play in FVC's men's, women's, coed and/or reverse coed leagues.
Registration for the "Mixer League" is not yet open but stay tuned for more information! In the meantime, click here to register yourself (for free) as an individual player. The information you enter is searchable by teams looking to add players and it allows FVC to contact you once details about the "Mixer League" are finalized. (If you entered your information as an individual player prior to August 6, you will need to re-enter it as the database was recently reset.)
