After a brief hiatus, Seattle Public Schools is once again a participant in the City Campus "Careers and Workplace Exploration in the Skilled Trades (CWEST)" pre-apprenticeship program - along with the Port of Seattle, Seattle City Light and the city of Seattle.

Ballard student, 826 Seattle receive award from first ladyBallard High School senior Meron Kasahun and 826 Seattle founder and Executive Director Teri Hein were awarded the 2011 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award from first lady Michelle Obama. They received the award on Nov. 2 at the East Room of the White House.
Staff Celebrations

 

Teresa Klein, a fourth-grade teacher at Roxhill Elementary School, received Symetra Financial's "Heroes in the Classroom" award for October. The program recognizes teachers for excellence in the classroom.
