The Family Justice Center of Georgetown County (FJCGC) opened its doors in January of 2011 to serve victims of domestic violence. It originated in 2007 as a grassroots response to a steep rise in the number of domestic violence cases in Georgetown County.

Coastal Community Foundation would like to welcome four new members to the Board--Amy Armstrong of Georgetown, President and general council of South Carolina Environmental Law Project; C. Michael Branham of Charleston, Partner at Young Cleme nt Rivers, LLP; Marcus Cox of Charleston, Assistant Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at The Citadel: The Military College of South Carolina; and Chris Volf of Berkeley County, a nonprofit consultant. Elizabeth (Babs) Warner has taken over the role of Chair of the Board as Steven McLeod-Bryant will remain on the Board as the Immediate Past Chair. Welcome aboard!
