Connecting Agape Family Life Center and Lowcountry Food Bank by Edna Crews

March Goodness Contest

Coastal Community Foundation is one of 64 organizations selected to participate in Razoo's 2010 March Goodness contest.  Razoo, our online giving vehicle, is hosting the contest in parallel to March Madness, the national college basketball tournament.  Our ticket to the Goodness tournament is raising funds for the Open Grants Competitive grantmaking program, which provides awards to Tricounty nonprofits.  You can follow our progress through March 30th when the contest ends.  To help push us into the top three so that we can secure an extra $1,000 for the 2010 grant pool, please support Open Grants now.  Single gifts of $10 are all that is needed.

Worthy nonprofit programs in Allendale & Hampton Counties receive grant awards

For generations, the Winthrop family has taken pride and given care to Hampton and Allendale counties.  The Winthrop Family Allendale/Hampton Fund has continued to support the charitable programs of the surrounding area by giving out annual grants to nonprofit organizations.  This year, grant awards were augmented by the F. James and Sheila Hodges Fund and an additional gift from a Winthrop family member.  Over $73,600 to twenty different grantee organizations was awarded. Read more about the grantees who received funding for their operations or specific programming.
