If you're a new recipient, you should know that this newsletter goes out every month on the 20, 21st, or 22nd. In the last 3 months, we proudly introduced thePageStarter and theTwitterTrainer to help sole proprietors and small businesses build a presence on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn, and/or YouTube, and Social Ideation for bigger brands, companies and non-profit organizations to build a 12 month roadmap of how to use all of the many social media tools and sites to best accomplish their objectives. This month, we're happy to announce the opening of our 3rd office, in Chicago! Feel free to reach out to Susan Diamond, our Chicago Director of Buzz, for any help in social media and word of mouth marketing, at 847.945.2850. You can also reach us in Boston at 617.980.3360 and of course in New York at 718.416.2899. If once a month isn't enough to hear from us, you can check out our blog for daily content. In other news, theKbuzz is happy to welcome Offereti, TheOnlineMom, Uno Chicago Grill, and Verizon Small Business Solutions, 4 of the new additions to our client family. Enjoy our latest Buzz Marketing Monthly! As always, if you'd like some social media buzz, just give us a buzz via phone or email Dave@thekbuzz.com. From all of us @theKbuzz, we wish you a month filled with excitement, opportunity, and success- and a summer filled with some relaxation too. See you on July 20th!

Breaking: The TOP 40 Facebook Fan Pages for business, as picked by theKbuzz staff (+20 more!)

There are over a million Facebook Pages for businesses, brands, organizations, non-profits, celebrities, politicians, artists, sports teams, government entities and more. We've sorted through many of them, and based upon criteria including responsiveness, interactivity, creativity, design, and fan count, we've selected our favorite 40 Fan Pages that we can all learn from. In order to remain credible and ethical, we've excluded any Pages theKbuzz has worked on from consideration, but we've included as an addendum a list of 20 of our favorite theKbuzz client Pages as well. Some of the "winning" Pages won't surprise anyone, such as Barack Obama, Coca Cola, and Pizza Hut, but we're guessing some Pages will be brand new to most of you, such as the North Dakota State Fair, Ocean City, and SmartyPig. For a complete list of our TOP 40 Facebook Fan Pages, plus our Top 20 theKbuzz Facebook Pages, please click here. Be sure to let us know if you think we've missed any obvious amazing Facebook Pages!

Highlights from the Twitter #140conf Conference - 140 characters at a time

Our Chief Buzz Officer, Dave Kerpen, attended the 140-Character Conference. The #140conf took a look at twitter as a platform and explored some of the industries which have been disrupted by the advent of twitter, and Dave was there to tweet it all. The conference was as succinct as the medium-with each speaker taking 5 to 15 minutes of stage time. The conference featured brands, celebrities, and journalists, and it seems abundantly clear that Twitter has forever changed the face of how breaking information will be communicated. For a full account of the Twitter 140-Character Conference, check Dave's recap here.

The Facebook Landrush...What it Really Means For You:

I'm sure you've heard about the fabulous opportunity to create a custom, easily shareable web address for your Facebook Public Profile for your business using custom URLs. There has been a lot of frustration about smaller businesses being unable to secure a vanity url due to the fact that they did not meet the requirements of having 1000 fans by the set timeframe. However, a small business can still protect their page name. On June 28th, you will be able to claim your business name, regardless of the number of fans.  IMPORTANT: If someone has taken the name of your business, you can file copyright infringement by filling out the form located here.

The primary reasons the username is so important are SEO and shareability. With a URL that is easy to share and supports your SEO messaging, you are positioned to utilize Facebook as a primary method of communication, rather than just a fun side project. For more on Facebook URLs, check out our posts on Buzz Marketing Daily.
