Dear Accents customers,
We are saddened to send you this notice, but in the interest of public safety, Napa Home & Garden has recalled all NAPAfire and FIREGEL pourable gel fuels due to fire and burn hazards.
CPSC warning: The pourable gel fuel can ignite unexpectedly and splatter onto people and objects nearby when it is poured into a firepot that is still burning. This hazard can occur if the consumer does not see the flame or is not aware that the firepot is still ignited. Fuel gel that splatters and ignites can pose fire and burn risks to consumers.
We advise you to immediately stop using the gel fuel. You may return any bottles of fuel that you purchased from us for a full refund. We sold the following gel fuels:
- NAPAfire Regular gel fuel, quart bottle (upc 046654075865)
- NapaFire Citronella gel fuel, quart bottle (upc 046654075872)
Do NOT attempt to dispose of the fuels yourself as gel fuel is flammable and serious accident or injury may result.
Do NOT return the FireLite ceramic pot. Napa is working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on developing a retrofit kit for the FireLites that will eliminate the use of pourable gel fuel and will require a single-use fuel in disposable cans, adapted to fit Napa FireLites. We will advise you how you can obtain your free retrofit kit when available.
We know this recall will be an inconvenience for you and for this we apologize. We are very grateful for the opportunity to do business with you and are so very sad and sorry that people have been hurt.
