In today's complex world where many sales cycles require months to complete, it pays to get in the habit of sending customers a copy of your meeting notes. Meeting notes benefit you several ways. 
  • You look organized and professional--which is always good.
  • Meeting notes can be shared with influencers and decision-makers who weren't in the meeting. By giving your advocates an easy way to share your intelligent insights, you help them "sell" you as the preferred partner when internal discussions take place.
  • Notes help people remember what was said, agreed to and questioned. If there was an agreed upon next-step, sending meeting notes helps people remember what they committed to and makes it more likely to get done.
 The format is simple. Include the date, the people in the meeting and the points discussed.
