Happy Spring Everyone!
Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I just can't get past last weekends amazing weather! It was so beautiful that I couldn't help setting out my deck furnishings and "springing things up"! When I look out the kitchen window I can see the promise of warmer weather, brighter days and new growth...this is the magic of spring.
When I think spring I definitely think color, and the two seem to exude positivity. Even if you don't consider yourself a "color person", it always seems that somehow spring itself will just bring it to you. A fresh bouquet of tulips or a brightly colored throw pillow can be just enough for some. For others like me, who can't live without color, try something more daring like I've done here with my paprika colored furnishings. However you like to show off your favorite spring shade, it's helpful to know what colors work best with what you have. In this month "feature article" I share some color inspiration from my favorites designers.
Designers have heard the call of homeowners wanting to expand their living spaces outside and have answered back with an array of beautiful weather resistant decor. Rugs, pillows, even draperies and lamps are now chic outside accessores. Above, you'll notice how an outdoor rug can help pull together a conversation area and soft pillows cozy things up and beckon you to lounge with your favorite magazine. These budget friendly items make it easy to add additional living space to your home...no construction required.
