Factors to Consider in Nebulizer Applications
APCI supplies nebulizer boards and related replacement assemblies. When considering nebulizer performance and how it is related to product performance or board design, it is crucial to understand that:- APCI nebulizer boards have been designed for optimal ov
erall performance, size, reliability and life.
- An optimal water depth is related to atomization efficiency (30mm to 60mm)
- Know your atomization performance target
- Consider the operating environment - it can dictate particle size
requirements
- Resonance frequency, density and surface tension are the primary drivers of
particle size
- The coating on the resonator must be durable - stainless steel is the best choice
- Special conditions may necessitate the use of a nonstandard gasket material and more resistant stainless steel coating

APCI is changing to a single through board .110" by .02" pin, recommended best practice will be to use the matching .110" by .02" connector instead of soldering directly to the board. (Suggested Connector - Faston .110" Series - Distributed by www.digikey.com)
Replacement Assembly OptionsStandard: 304 SS coating on resonator crystal with silicon gasket
Special Option: 316 SS coating on resonator crystal with a nitro rubber gasket
