Greetings!
 | | Finian & Teoti |
Happy 2012! Pawsitive Results took a break from teaching classes in January, but that doesn't mean I didn't keep busy.
On behalf of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), I hosted a Facebook chat on housetraining for National Train Your Dog Month. I also recorded a webinar on housetraining. The free webinar is available along with others on the Family Circle magazine interviewed me for an article on choosing the right type of leash for your dog. The issue should be out later this year. Palmetto Parent magazine also interviewed me for an article on how to choose the right dog for your family. That issue is on stands around the Midlands now!
As always, I took some time to examine our classes and make a few improvements. I'm also happy to share some news! For those of you in Irmo, I'll soon be starting classes in your back yard! We begin teaching classes at Friarsgate Park beginning March 6. After many, many requests, Pawsitive Results is also launching new private training packages. Read more about them in this issue.
Whew! If this is the start of 2012, it's going to be a very productive year! Please give your dogs cookies from me. Teoti Anderson, CPDT-KA, KPA-CTPPawsitive Results, LLC

One-on-One: Introducing Private Training Packages
For many years, Teoti has done private lessons for everything from simple basic training to aggression. As schedules got hectic with books and traveling, she began taking cases on a limited basis, mainly for existing clients and rescue organizations.
We are happy to announce that due to popular demand, Pawsitive Results will be expanding its private training program. We are introducing a variety of private training packages including Puppy Head Start, Housetraining Help, Family Manners, Behavior and Competitive Rally Coaching. All taught in the convenience of your home by a Pawsitive Results instructor.

Novartis Discontinues Some Canine Drugs
Novartis Animal Health is suspending production on some of its canine drugs, including Interceptor Flavor Tabs, Clomicalm, Deramaxx, Sentinel Flavor Tabs and Milbemite.
Last month, Novartis closed one of its plants in Lincoln, Nebraska, after receiving complaints about its human drugs produced there. This is the plant that manufactures the canine drugs as well.
If your dog takes one of these drugs, you may want to contact your veterinarian and ask about alternate options. |
