Greetings!
 | | Teoti & Sawyer |
I hope you are having a safe and happy holiday season! It has been another whirlwind year. Thank you for sharing it with me!
My "baby," Sawyer, just turned one year old. Classes are winding down while we get ready for our annual January break. Now, just because we're not teaching classes next month doesn't mean we won't be busy!
Registration is already underway for classes in February 2012. I've got some events scheduled for National Train Your Dog Month, and I'll be starting plans to revamp the website and add at least one new class for next year. We have some exciting plans for the New Year! I'll share more as things finalize.
One thing that will change, at least for the near future, is that we will no longer be offering classes at Lexington Leisure Center. It was a very difficult decision, as I have taught there for many years. Classes just weren't filling up, however, and I was having to cancel them again and again. Apparently all classes are down at Lexington, and I think the economy is the main culprit. I sincerely thank the wonderful staff at Lexington Leisure Center for all their support over the years. Hopefully we will find a way to come back!
I hope your New Year is a joyous one. Best wishes to you and your pets, and I'll see you in 2012!

January: Train Your Dog Month!
The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) started National Train Your Dog Month to raise awareness about the importance of socialization and training. You can benefit by taking advantage of FREE educational webinars and Facebook chats throughout the month!
Here are just a few of the training and behavior issues covered:
- Adopting a Dog
- Loose Leash Walking
- Safety Around Dogs and Kids
- Separation Anxiety
I also contributed a webinar on Housetraining Basics, and I'll be doing a Facebook chat on the subject January 18. To access the webinars, visit www.trainyourdogmonth.com.
