Announcements Matanzas Fun Run Results! The St. Johns County Recreation & Parks
Department, Ancient City Road Runners, and Danita Thomas Heagy would like to
thank the 115 participants that joined us for our Annual Fun
Run on January 23rd and recognize R.B. Hunt and Ketterlinus
Elementary for sending the most participants! Top Five Fun Run Winners: Andrew Jackson age 9, Devin
Jakeway age 10, Lauren Kelly age 9, Kylie Ross age 8, and Isaac Thomas age 11!
We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and we can't wait to see you again next
year!
Lights Out - As a cost saving measure, Recreation and
Parks implemented a lights out program for two
billing cycles at our parks. Lights Out started in 2009 and most parks have done their mandatory shut down. The last two: Treaty Park
will be off until February 16, and the Volleyball courts at the St. Augustine Beach Pier will be off until
February 25. These parks are still open from
dawn til dusk. We appreciate
our citizens' understanding the need for these measures.
Beach Passes on Sale - Preseason Annual Beach Passes are on sale! Get them before the price goes up! County
resident fee is $30 and non-resident fee is $40. They may be purchased at the
Recreation and Parks Office, St. Johns County Tax Collector Offices, and the
St. Johns County Pier. Click for more information
