Annual Appeal
For more than 8 years the Box of Rain has continued to engage the hearts and minds of Annapolis' under-served youth through boating, marine skills, water-based activities and training, and environmental education all year long. The program has influenced young boys and girls and their families to understand the value of the Chesapeake Bay as a life-long resource.
Your generosity each year helps us to offer free educational programs. Each year we need to provide transportation, boxed lunches, water bottles, water shoes, and other basics to our Box of Rain participants. The challenges are significant but the rewards are great. Many of our kids have participated in swimming lessons and lifeguard training, sailing lessons, canoeing, and boat building -- while gaining confidence and an appreciation for the natural beauty of Annapolis.
