Competition: Win a Days Fishing in Connemara!
Have you got a great fishing story from Connemara and an accompanying photo? Win A Days Sea Angling!
Well if so you could win a days deep sea angling (with tackle and tuition) for one person off the Connemara coast with Blue Water Charter Fishing worth €70. Blue Water Charter Fishing have been running now for 20 years. Just send us your fishing in Connemara tale and an accompanying photograph from a past trip or upcoming trip in Connemara!
We need a photo and a 150 word description of your fishing tale.
Connemara is bursting with festivals this year and all of them largely kick off this April and May. One wonders if President Barack Obama and Queen Elizebeth the Second (both coming within 10 days of each other) will pop round to Connemara on their visits? Here's hoping! but of course you're welcome to visit too!

Traditional Irish Music Song and Dance Weekends (April/May) in Clifden
Clifden plays host to two major weekends of traditional Irish music song and dance this April and May. In our last newsletter we mentioned the Clifden Traditional Music Festival happening this April but Clifden also plays host to the Galway County Fleadh

Connemara Mussel Festival

Leenane Walking Festival
Date: 29th April 2011 to 01 May 2011. The Leenane MountainWalking Festival includes a choice of high-level mountain walks or a low-level option. There will be transport to and from the mountains, including a speedboat across Killary Harbour to Mweelrea Mountain. Leenane cottages>>
Connemara Bog Week
A ten day multi-layered authentic festival. A celebration of Landscape. Traditional music in pubs throughout Connemara.Dates: 27th May to 6th June 2011.
