The Buddy Program strengthens our community by guiding and inspiring youth through mentoring.

January E-Newsletter 2012

Today is THANK YOUR MENTOR DAY

January is National Mentoring Month. A highlight of this special month-long campaign is Thank Your Mentor Day. Today, we encourage all of our supporters to reach out and  thank or honor those individuals who encouraged and guided you, and had a lasting, positive impact on your lives.

Here are several ways to thank that special person in your life:

  1. Contact your mentor directly to express your appreciation. If you do not know how to get in touch with your mentor, contact us at the Buddy Program and we will help you find him or her to say THANK YOU;
  2. Pass on what you received by becoming a mentor to a young person in our community. We have 40 youth on our wait list;
  3. Make a financial contribution to the Buddy Program; and,
  4. Write a tribute to your mentor  by posting on the Buddy Program's Facebook page Like us on Facebook .

The Buddy Program would also like to say THANK YOU to all of the incredible and caring mentors in our Community Program, School-based Program, and Peer-to-Peer Program. Due to the dedication and time that our Big Buddies give, our organization is able to serve over 650 local youth. The feedback we hear from parents, teachers, and the Little Buddies' themselves tells us that you ARE making a difference and investing in their futures! Whether this is your first National Mentoring Month or your 5th, THANK YOU!

Lastly, the Buddy Program greatly appreciates the guidance and generous support that our Board of Directors, Leadership Development Board, and National Council provides on a daily basis. We would not be able to help youth thrive without the support of all of these integral parts of our organization.

In celebration of mentoring,

Catherine Anne Provine
