"My friend Angie has a Big Buddy and tells me it's so much fun!"

While kids are on The Buddy Program's wait-list, they are still able to access our counseling services as well as scholarships for extra-curricular activities. However, what they want most is a Big Buddy to share their time with! Call us today at (970) 927-1001 to find out how you can guide and inspire a young person.

Buddy Pairs Meet Michael Franti
The Buddy Program is incredibly grateful to Joe Lang, Marc Breslin, Jim Horowitz, and Chris Steiner at Jazz Aspen Snowmass for donating tickets and coordinating an unforgettable "meet & greet" with famous musician, Michael Franti. On September 4, eleven Buddy Pairs had the honor of meeting Mr. Franti before his performance and were then invited to go on stage to close his show with some awesome dance moves! He was so kind to introduce himself individually to each Little Buddy and take many photos. To read more about this magical activity for our Pairs, click here.

Thank You to The Thrift Shop of Aspen
The Buddy Program would like to thank The Thrift Shop of Aspen for continuing to support our mentoring programs and services. The Thrift Shop is an invaluable nonprofit organization that works hard to give back to our community. On behalf of our Big and Little Buddies, we encourage you to not only donate recyclable clothing, house wares and sports equipment, but also to shop at this local treasure. Again, thank you for helping us guide and inspire youth through mentoring!
School-based Buddy Pairs are Back in Action
As students get back into the swing of things at Basalt and Aspen schools this fall, it isn't just back to teachers, studying and friends. For many students, it means reconnecting with a caring adult Big Buddy!

Since 2003, The Buddy Program has been matching adults from the community to mentor a student at Basalt Middle and Elementary and Aspen Middle Schools. This successful program gives adults who have their own families or busy schedules an option to volunteer during their work day. Many of them work for businesses who give them the opportunity to make volunteering an vital part of their week and lives! To learn more about our returning Pairs, click here. Watch for our October e-newsletter where we will feature our returning Peer-to-Peer high school volunteers and their buddies!

ATTENTION BUDDY PAIRS! Save the date for our annual CELEBRATE YOUR BUDDY DINNER on Thursday, October 15th, 6:00 PM-9:00 PM at Bumps Restaurant at Buttermilk!  Full dinner, dancing and fun will be provided as we recognize our dedicated Big Buddies and honor the meaningful relationships created with their Little Buddies. *Please RSVP once you receive the invitation.
