Adam Dressler Joins Private Prep as Test Prep Director
We are excited to announce the addition of Adam Dressler as our Test Prep Director. In 2005, Adam became one of the first academic coaches to join Private Prep. Since then, his involvement in shaping our organization has grown.

As Test Prep Director, Adam oversees the materials and methodologies for ACT and SAT students, ensuring that we develop and successfully implement the most effective and accessible techniques available.

Adam brings over a decade's experience tutoring the ACT and SAT to his role as Test Prep Director. He has systematically uncovered patterns on both exams that serve as the basis for tangible test taking strategies that make the test accessible to students of all levels.

Adam graduated cum laude from Harvard with a BA in Classics, and from Boston University and Columbia with master's degrees in Creative Writing. In addition to test prep, Adam tutors mathematics, literature, Greek, and Latin. He also works with students to brainstorm, craft, and edit their college essays.
Blog: Making Time for Test Prep

Private Prep tutor David Stein has an interesting outlook on the prospect of test prep that he shares with students during their first lesson:

"I ask students to consider the amount of time they put into homework on a nightly basis-perhaps an average of two hours a night on school nights?  Stretch that over a four-year high school career, and students have spent 1280 hours on homework.  The end result is the much-worshipped GPA, a keystone of the college application.  But just under the GPA on the scale of importance in a college app?  Standardized test scores."

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you for your continued support.
