We are excited to announce the launch of Private Prep Long Island through a partnership with local educator Jeremy Cohen. This partnership couples Private Prep's resources to help students improve grades and increase test scores with Jeremy's extensive knowledge of the Long Island community.

A Roslyn native, Jeremy has taught math at Herricks High School since 2006. He has developed an outstanding reputation as an educator in the community by giving students the confidence to tackle challenging math concepts. As a tutor, Jeremy gets to know his students on a personal level and helps maximize their potential in class and on standardized tests.

"It brings me great joy to partner with a well-established organization like Private Prep in order to connect talented and passionate educators with students in my local community. I am excited to help a growing number of Long Island students face a wide range of academic challenges and open new doors," says Jeremy.

The college essay is the monster in the closet for many rising high school seniors.  They feel pressured to represent themselves as brilliant students, important figures on campus, or even local heroes. In reality, though, the most impressive essays are frequently less grandiose in nature. The best essay leaves its readers feeling as if they have just had a frank and personal conversation with its author.

The new school year is off to a terrific start. Good luck to our students taking the SHSAT later this month and the SAT in early November. We know they are well prepared!
