When It Comes to Junior Year, Plan Ahead

It's no secret that junior year of high school is unlike any other year. In addition to school work and extracurricular activities, juniors face the tall order of preparing for the SAT and the ACT,  not to mention AP exams and SAT Subject tests.

Given the demands of junior year, we strongly encourage our rising sophomores to plan ahead as this school year comes to a close.  By looking ahead now, we are able create a test prep plan that fits into each student's busy junior year schedule and works backwards from the SAT and ACT test dates..

Blog: You're Only Cheating Yourself in the Long Run

Recent media attention has been placed on a Harvard student who received $45,000 in grants, financial aid and scholarships based on a false application. After applying for the prestigious Rhodes and Fullbright Scholarships it was discovered that Adam Wheeler had lied about his academic record at the Phillips Academy and a year of studies at MIT. He was arrested on Monday May 17th and appears to be headed to prison. This news story is an extreme example of an age old decision facing high school students: does it pay to cheat?
