Working with students in a one-on-one setting gives our tutors an opportunity to implement useful teaching techniques that are not always appropriate in the classroom setting. One such technique we find to be highly effective in our lessons is Role Reversal.

Private Prep Summer Tutoring in the Hamptons

With the end of the school year rapidly approaching, it is time to begin to make plans for the summer. Summer tutoring can be especially valuable in several respects:

  • Avoid a regression in cumulative subjects such as math and foreign language.
  • Focus on strengthening areas of academic weakness or hone important fundamental skills such as reading and writing
  • Get a jump start on test prep before the demands of school and extracurricular activities pick back up in the fall.

For a second year, we will be offering our service in the Hamptons over the summer. In addition to offering in-home tutoring, we have partnered with the Hampton Country Day Camp to provide an Academic Enrichment program as part of their new Teen Hampton camp. Teen Hampton will feature an elective-based program that offers teens (6th - 10th grade) the opportunity to customize their summer experience on a daily basis. For more information please visit www.teenhamptonsummer.com.

Additionally, please do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in summer tutoring in NYC, Westchester County, or Fairfield County, CT.

Congrats Seniors!

It's been an exciting April for Private Prep's seniors. Many have found out where they will be attending college next year. Setting a goal and achieving it through hard work is certainly praiseworthy.

We are proud of the effort our seniors put forth and wish them the best of luck next year. We have great expectations!
