We've Expanded to Westchester and Fairfield Counties!
We are very excited to announce the launch of our service in Westchester (NY) and Fairfield (CT) Counties. Over the past six months, we have worked hard to lay the ground work for our first expansion outside of New York City. We've focused on recreating the foundation of our success in NYC: passionate tutors, high educational standards and personal service. Additionally, we will continue to offer in-home sessions in both new markets.

To launch our service in Connecticut, we have partnered with one of our former NYC tutors, Isaac Brown. Isaac has the same enthusiasm for education and entrepreneurship that helped Private Prep flourish in NYC. Additionally, as a native of Westport, Isaac has maintained strong ties to the local community since he graduated from Staples High School. Isaac has been actively recruiting tutors this summer to compliment his expertise as a math and science tutor. Read more about Isaac in the article below.

The Westchester market is serviced from our NYC operations. We have already launched service this summer with SAT, ACT and SAT II test prep. Over the course of the next year we intend to offer tutoring across all K-12 subjects, test prep and academic fundamentals. In addition to building a team of local tutors, we have made arrangements for a select group of our NYC tutors to travel to Westchester students' homes.

Similar to our approach in New York City, we are engaging the education community in Westchester and Fairfield counties. From teachers to college counselors to parents, we are developing relationships that will help us better support our students in both markets.

Isaac Brown Launches Private Prep ConnecticutIsaac
We are extremely excited to partner with Isaac Brown for Private Prep's expansion into Connecticut. As the Connecticut Director, Isaac will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and growth of Private Prep CT.

Here's what Steve had to say about working with Isaac to launch our service in Connecticut: "Isaac is an incredibly talented individual. Not only does Isaac bring an expertise to his math and science lessons, but also relates to his students and inspires their best. Over the past two years, he quickly became one of our most sought after tutors in NYC. Now with his move back home, he has hit the ground running with enthusiasm and professionalism as the Director of our Connecticut service. Scott and I are confident that Isaac's efforts will establish Private Prep as the premier tutoring service in Fairfield County."

Isaac has worked with kids as a teacher, tutor, and camp counselor for over ten years. With a diverse scientific background, Isaac specializes in teaching all levels of math and science. He began working with Private Prep in 2007 while teaching physics at Bronx Science in New York City. As a tutor, Isaac has the unique ability to teach challenging math and science concepts and relate to students on a personal level.

Since returning to Westport to open Private Prep Connecticut, Isaac has become intimately involved in the local education community. He is one of two tutors for the Westport chapter of A Better Chance - a non-profit organization dedicated to offering inner-city students the opportunity to attend high-level suburban high schools. He directs the Science and Nature Program at Camp Playland in New Canaan, CT and is an active member of the Westport Astronomical Society, facilitating a children's astronomy program at Rolnick Observatory in Westport.

Isaac attended Staples High School in Westport where he was the recipient of several academic awards in math and science, as well as captain of the wrestling team. After completion of his degree in physics at Northwestern University, Isaac moved to New York City to teach physics at Bronx Science, followed by two years as nanotechnology analyst at emerging tech firm, Lux Research.

It really has been an terrific summer for Private Prep. We are thrilled about the direction of our Company and can't believe that another school year is just around the corner. If you want to get a head start on the school year with one of our tutors, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We're here to help.

Enjoy the last few weeks of summer!

All the best,

Meet Blake:
Blake

On July 11th, we welcomed Private Prep's unofficial mascot to the family. Scott's wife Tamara gave birth to Blake Noah Levenson at 8:09 pm. Blake was 8 lbs, 13 ounces at birth.

Now a month later, Blake has become an expert at keeping his parents up at night, rolling over on his play mat and distracting us from Private Prep's very busy summer.
