I'm proud to announce my new charity project:
Small Graces: A Painting a Month for the FCBOnce a month a a small (rough 5x5 inch) unpublished, original painting of mine will be auctioned off through eBay with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the Foundation of Children's Books. That sounds complicated, but it isn't! Here it is broken down:
WHAT: An original painting of mine will be for auction. This painting on the right it the one for sale Jan. 12- 16 (

The original paintings will all be illustrated small bits of wisdom (inspired by collecting them for
Fortune Cookie Fridays on
my blog).
WHERE: On eBay, at

And then, for the rest of the year
another painting will go on auction once a month.
For WHO: 100% of the money will go to the
Foundation of Children's Books to
fund author and illustrator visits for under-served
schools.
WHY: This is just my small way to help schools and fellow authors/illustrators, as I wrote about in
this recent blog post.
I know this is a hard time to raise funds for any cause, which is why I humbly ask you to help spread the word. If you can, please post about the project to your blogs or listservs and tell your friends.

my original art from my books beyond your budget, this is a great way to get a bargain! So please spread the word and
