ArtSS in the Open is a biennial juried outdoor sculpture competition by which ArtSS selects and procures sculptures for the public realm of our city. Among ArtSS' most visible projects
are the sculptures in front of the Sandy Springs Library, the planters along Roswell Road, and the current Playable Art Park project, a joint venture between the Sandy Springs Conservancy and Art Sandy Springs to create a children's sculpture park in the Abernathy Greenway, with a grant from Northside Hospital, as an innovative way to introduce children to art through play.
  ArtSSpring, a 30-day springtime celebration of the arts in Sandy Springs, symbolized by the green bows displayed throughout the city. Sandy Springs comes alive with musical, theatrical, culinary and literary events as well as ArtSSapalooza, an art extravaganza!
