About Act 3 Productions

In 2000, a group of five talented mothers came together as volunteer directors and producers for the first play at their children's middle school. The "drama mamas" found they shared an exciting combination of artistic strengths and professional experiences, along with a love of children and theater. Following that first success, the team produced and directed more than a dozen highly entertaining and sold-out shows in Cobb County for children of all ages. They incorporated as a non-profit, Act 3 Productions, in 2007, and in 2009, the board and volunteers built a theater in its new permanent home - The Act 3 Playhouse in Sandy Springs Plaza.

Act 3 now offers a full repertoire of musicals, drama and original productions starring professional and amateur actors of all ages. Through workshops and performing opportunities, Founders Patti Mactas, Susan Anderson, Johnna Mitchell, Lyn Taylor and Theresa Dean continue to expose young people to drama, dance, music, visual arts, technical production and more both onstage and behind the scenes. Visit www.act3productions.org for a list of upcoming performances, auditions, workshops and classes. Act 3 Productions is a 501(c)(3) organization supported by corporate, foundation and individual donations.
