The Duke of Edinburgh award is an International Award that equips young people with life skills to make a difference to themselves, their communities and the world. To date almost 6 million young people from over 120 countries have participated in this programme.
The Award combines service, adventure and new skills for students 14 years and older. Our Grade 9 and 10 students have the chance to show personal initiative and independence. To achieve the award the students must set goals in the 4 programme areas of: Community Service, Personal Skills Development, Physical Fitness and Adventurous Journey.
As part of the senior program Venta grade nine and ten students take part in this exciting opportunity. To inform our current parents about the Duke of Edinburgh program, Mr. Spratt will be hosting an information night on Wednesday September 15th at 5pm.
We hope you can join us for this fantastic event. For more information, please contact Mike Spratt at mspratt@ventaprep.com.

The teaching staff and administration at Venta would like to remind all parents of the signing in/out procedures for all students.
is important for all parents to review with their children Venta's expectations in terms of uniform, hair, and make-up. The Venta staff will be diligent in addressing any students who are not meeting these expectation and in doing so disregarding the school's code of conduct.
