Order you tickets here!
What are we raising funds for?
First, some good news!   As a result of the Parent Committee Christmas Campaign and the Christmas Craft Sale, we raised enough money to replace the hockey boards. The boards are complete and ready to go up next winter!

As you know we started a running club for both Seniors  and Juniors and a Track and Field Team (Venta Vipers!).  To further enhance this programme, we would like to work on the Venta track by installing weeping tiles, re-surfacing the track itself, adding lines and, a long jump pit.  This will also benefit our phys ed programme.

In addition, we would like to buy special software to enhance our French Programme, as well as fulfill several "wishes" of our teachers for various classroom items.

The Loonie Auction is the Parent Committees' biggest fundraiser of the year and we look forward to seeing everyone support the school by donating and attending!
Please DONATE!
We can't do this without you!

You can contribute by donating items to be auctioned off.  (New items only please)

Do you have a favourite restaurant that you frequent on a regular basis?  Ask them for a gift certificate!     When you go about your daily business, please keep the auction in mind and ask for a donation.   You can print the official donation request letter by clicking here

Some examples of popular donations are:
- cash
- manicure/pedicure
- spa packages
 - IPOD
- IPHONE
- Chapter's Gift Certificates
 - MP3 players
- Blu-Ray players
- gift certificates to restaurants

Please keep in mind that we also run a Silent Auction table that has included a weekend for two at Mont Ste. Marie, golf memberships, spa treatments, power tools etc.

All donations will be gratefully accepted by Tracey Quinn on or before April 12th.  Thank you!
What IS a Loonie Auction Anyway??

How does a Loonie Auction work?

When you arrive you will receive a catalogue outlining the various items for auction.

1.  Browse the catalogue.  Mark the items that are of interest to you and cross your fingers.
2.  Pre-buy  double tickets at the  entrance when you arrive.  Each ticket is worth $1.  When you "bid" on an item you put one -half of your ticket in the raffle container and you keep the other half.
3. Volunteer student runners will be at every table to collect your "bid" tickets.
4. The Auctioneer will draw one winning ticket from the raffle container.
5.  If you have the winning ticket you win the item!
6.  It is possible to win an item worth $50 for as little as $1!
Information has been sent home with your child:
Over the next two days the teachers will give your child a Loonie Auction information package that will include the ticket order form, donation request letter and information on what to donate.
What about supper?
Supper consists of pizza with salad.  You can order 1 slice with salad for $3, or 2 slices with salad for $6.  We will also have complimentary juice, coffee, tea, snacks and desserts.  The Carp Agricultural Hall has a cash bar.

Do you have a food allergy or sensitivity to the above?  Please let me (Tracey) know as soon as possible, so that we can make alternate arrangements.  Thank you.
 Building a back-yard rink?
We plan on taking down our current hockey boards (for the very last time!) this weekend.  If anyone is interested in the boards or various pieces of them, please contact Sean Hopper (ext. 225).  Everything is free!
