Non-Uniform Day Raises $703 for Pennies for Patients!
Congratulations to all the students for raising $703 for Pennies for Patients at the last Non-Uniform Day!   In order to raise this money the students did "extra work or odd jobs" at home, in exchange for a donation to the cause.  Thank you to everyone for your support.  Well done!

Art Fundraiser for Haiti - Thursday, February 25:
Mrs. Moore is participating in an art auction to raise funds for relief in Haiti.  The auction is being held at The Swan in Carp on Thursday, February 25th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.  This is a great opportunity to buy a piece of artwork from a local artist while supporting Haiti at the same time.
7th Annual Loonie Auction, Friday, April 16:
The Parent Fundraising Committee is pleased to announce that the 7th Loonie Auction will take place at the Carp Agricultural Hall from 4:40 - 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 16.   Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.  Children under the age of 6 are free.

Parents can support this auction two ways.  1.  Attend the event and bid on items for as little as $1.  2.  Donate items to the auction.

There is a live auction of items such as cash, spa packages, gift certificates, IPOD's and , MP3 players for example.  We also have a silent auction table that has included golf memberships, power tools and, Ottawa Senators memorabilia for example.   Venta parents and families can contribute by requesting donations from employers and local businesses.

Do you have a favourite restaurant or spa that you frequent on a regular basis?  Ask them to donate to the auction!   All proceeds are going to fulfill this year's teachers' wish list!  An example of one item on the list is to re-do the track and install weeping tiles in order to support our track and field programme and our membership to the NCSSAA.

This is a great cause and we hope you can support us.  You can find more information under the Quick Links section of this newsletter or on the Parent Committee Page of our web-site.

Members of the Parent Committee will sell tickets to the event at the Science Fair.

Thank you in advance for your support!
