#1 Uniform Required Tomorrow for...
all students in Grades 8,9 and 10, as well as for those who are getting a photo re-take.  Everyone can change into their sports uniform after their picture is taken so that they can participate in Olympic Day.
Intramural Olympic Day - Friday, Oct. 16
With the exception of those listed above, all students can wear their sports uniforms to school tomorrow.  Good luck to all of our "Olympians"!
Early Dismissal: October 19 - 28th
Due to parent-teacher interviews, all students will be  dismissed at 4:15 p.m.from October 19 - 28th.   Please note there will be supervision as per usual until 5:30 p.m.
NCSSAA Cross Country Meet, Western Conference:
The members of the Running Club will run in the NCSSAA Western Conference cross country meet at Walter Baker Park on October 20th.  The run is in the morning and all parents are welcome to attend to cheer our runners on!
Halloween Party - October 30th:
The full school Halloween Party is just around the corner! On October 30 the students will participate in Halloween theme games and then join our Halloween Dance!  Everyone will be dismissed at 4:00 p.m. that day so that the children have time to get ready for trick-or-treating.
Magazine Fundraiser:
We have sold $886 worth of magazines so far!  A reminder that the paper deadline to order to next Friday, October 23.

Open House for Prospective Families - November 5:
The school will hold an Open House at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5.  If you know of any families who have expressed an interest in learning more about Venta, please feel free to invite them.  They can contact me directly if they have any questions.  Thank you!  Tracey
