School Photo Day - Wednesday, Sept. 23
A final reminder that the school photographs will be taken on Wednesday, September 23 at 9:00 a.m.

Due to the canoe trip, the Grade 8,9 and 10 class photos along with the group photo of our boarding students has been postponed to the re-take day on October 16.

Students are reminded that they must wear their number one uniform for the school photos.  This includes the school kilt or tunic for females, along with the long-sleeved sweater for girls not wearing a tunic.  Students in Grades 9 and 10 should wear their blazer.

Thank you!

Senior Trip to Europe to Commemorate 65th Anniversary of VE Day:
Plans are well underway for the trip to Europe to commemorate the 65th anniversary of VE Day. The trip takes place between April 27th and May 8th, 2010 and will include several days in Paris, the Normandy beaches, visits to the memorial at Vimy Ridge and other WWI and WWII battlefields. The tour will culminate in Holland where Canadian troops are still revered for their brave fight to force German troops out of Holland and to save the Dutch people.

This is an amazing educational experience for our children and already 77 Canadian schools have signed up to take part. If you would like your child to be a part of this important event please take the time to sign up at /http://www.eftours.ca/parents/. Select "Enrol on tour" and include our tour number which is 747932 and click go.

Parents and grandparents are also welcome to join us and there is even a tour for grownups which runs alongside ours, but is not quite so gruelling. If you have any questions please call me at the school ext.232 and I will get back to you, or e-mail me at amoore@ventapreparatoryschool.com.
Regards, Anne moore
