I have a dream that my four little

children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

EYI presents to the Pediatric Grand Rounds at Winthrop University Hospital...

EYI president, Dana E. Friedman, had the grand pleasure of presenting to the Pediatric Grand Rounds at Winthrop University Hospital last week a talk entitled, "Future of Families on Long Island." There were approximately 80 pediatricians in attendance thanks to the creative programming of EYI board member and Chief of Pediatrics at Winthrop, Warren Rosenfeld, M.D., who has continuously exposed hospital-affiliated pediatricians to issues affecting the families they serve.  What was fascinating was that pediatricians wanted to discuss the issues they were having with their own children - some of whom were 5 years of age and some of whom were adults with children of their own.  We need to remember that pediatricians - who also happen to be parents and grandparents - are struggling with the same issues as all parents.
