NACCRRA reports on child care views

Parents are generally in favor of increased government support of child care when quality is at stake. What will our children need to be happy, productive and fulfilled adults in 2030? As educators of young children, what are the elements of an early childhood program that are essential and why? The 92nd Street Y presents the "Wonderplay Conference" in Manhattan on November 12. Click here for details and registration information.

No More Picture Books? Read our blog
"Do we have to convince parents and elementary school teachers about the important of picture books?" EYI President Dana Friedman blogs her response to an October 10 article in the New York Times on children's picture books, and how they are slowly being phased out of books stores -- and maybe out of print entirely. You can read Dana's blog here.
