Access U.S.

There has been some dissapointing news recently regarding cross-border business between New York and Ontario. In recent months  Canada's federal government decided to abruptly close its Consulate office in Buffalo and New York State government has decided to close its trade office in Ontario.  However, BNE's efforts in Canada continue full speed ahead.  We remain your source for information regarding cross-border business and expanding your operations into the US.  And, we continue to work with many of our partner organizations on both sides of the border to continue this effort.  As always, feel free to contact me at any time with questions, concerns, or just to chat!

And now on to our June issue of Access US!

AMCHAM Hosts BNE

On May 30th BNE President and CEO, Tom Kucharski joined Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz in making a joint presentation before the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada.  The presentation entitled, "Western New York - The U.S. Gateway for Canadian Business" was very well received by an audience of approximately 65 Canadian companies and professional service providers.

Tom spoke about Canadian expansion into the U.S. market, while covering site selection, immigration, financing, cross border issues.  The County Executive touted the improved business climate in our region,

and emphasized his administration's desire to become stronger partners with Canadian companies seeking to expand into the U.S.

Buffalo Niagara ::
Where Life Works

"Buffalo is the smallest big city in the country. Somebody always seems to know your family, is willing to help out, and does so with a smile. You never really feel alone or out of luck in Buffalo. And, of course, there are always wings and the Sabres!"
