Companies Make Cross-Border Connections

On April 24, BNE hosted an event called Cross Border Connections, in collaboration with Phillips Lytle LLP and The Buffalo Niagara Partnership.  This event was held at Peninsula Winery in Beamsville, Ontario and featured a panel of Canadian companies who have expanded their business to Buffalo Niagara. I also gave a brief presentation about Canadian expansion to the US. During my talk, I covered many of the topics Canadians deal with during their expansion process. Following the panel, attendees had an opportunity to sit down and speak with the panelists, myself, representatives from Phillips Lytle and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership face to face.

Buffalo Niagara ::
Where Life Works

''Buffalo was among the mix of potential locations for Kemper. Initially, I pushed for Western New York because of its geographic location, labor costs and work force. Now that we're up and running, I realize the decision we made to build here was truly our best possible option. The location is beneficial for Kemper on so many levels. From here, we'll meet our goals in both product development and marketplace expansion."
