Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI), America's first cancer center, was founded in 1898 by Dr. Roswell Park. His revolutionary model for multidisciplinary study of cancer - with scientists and clinicians working together - has become the standard by which all modern-day comprehensive cancer centers are measured.

Growth on the Medical Campus Continues
Construction recently began on Ellicott Park, a linear street scape project running from Goodell Street to Best Street. This linear park will create a unique environment while promoting a safe and walkable public space to be enjoyed by patients, visitors, employees, students, and neighbors. Watch our progress.
VASCULAR CLINIC PIC
A project started in August of 2009, the Global Vascular Institute/Clinical and Translational Research Center, is putting on the finishing touches and due to be complete in February of 2012. This unique 10 story building will bring together Kaleida Health physicians and UB researchers in a collaborative effort to deliver state-of-the-art patient care supported by new treatments and technologies. The Kaleida Health-UB partnership will play a major role in the effort to transform Western New York into a world-class health care destination and expand UB's presence in downtown Buffalo. View a live webcam of the project & learn more.

Just blocks from the new heart & vascular institute, the Long-Term Care Facility is also under construction. This project will be the first urban nursing home built in Buffalo in decades. The project
began in August of 2010 and is expected to be complete by November 2011.  At four stories and 300 beds, it will rank as one of the largest nursing homes in the region. Learn more.

Other development includes the UB Educational Opportunity Center and a Multi-Modal Transportation Center.

Tell Us How Buffalo Niagara Works for You

"I derive a great deal of excitement and satisfaction from the progress that Kinex is making in the cancer and immunology fields and the support that it has received from a growing number of local investors. I alternate my life between New Jersey and Buffalo and enjoy both. My daughters family, including two grandson's, are here and my wife and I get a great deal of enjoyment being with them. We always spend the entire summer here and get to see more family and friends.  "

- Dr. Allen Barnett, President Emeritus of Kinex
