The world cup is over at last and well done Spain. June came and went and now we are well into SUMMER SEASON here in Thailand.
Yes, we now call it “Summer season” rather than “monsoon, low, rainy, green, wet” which all give a rather negative impression of the weather here between April – November when in fact it is quieter, cooler and extremely pleasant. The rains tend to occur mainly at night leaving fresh mornings and when it does come down like cats and dogs in bursts, the sun comes out and an hour or so later you would hardly know there had been rain at all! It is also much cheaper during this time to book a holiday villa/apartment as much as 40%+ less than “peak season” (December 1st – Jan 31st).
