POLITICS
The Thai government seems to have prevailed against Thaksin’s (ex.PM) RED shirts UDD (the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship's) mass rally in Bangkok and has stood firm against threats to bring down the government. This can only be good news for democracy and the future stability of Thailand. What happens next is anyone’s guess but everyone is fed up with politics and corrupt ex.prime minister Thaksin Shiniwatra whom is exiled and faces jail if he sets foot in Thailand. However, Thaksin has been able to stir up the RED shirts his supporters and some 100,000 or so attended the mass rally. Since Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva came to power the country has fared considerably better in the worst crisis the world has seen. Most of us hope he will have a chance to continue when elections take place sometime in the future, yet to be decided.

The governments tax concessions on buying property are to be removed on 29th March 2010
The reduction of transfer tax from 2% to 0.1% and SBT tax of 3.3% to 0.11% is to be re-instated
