The 35TH Annual Christmas Parade will be an "OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS." Go online to download a registration form for Maine's largest Christmas Parade. 

 

The "First Ever" Festival of Trees will also help kick off the holiday season here in the Oxford Hills! The event will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 25 to 27 at the Four Seasons Function Center on Main Street in South Paris. The Chamber is currently accepting registrations from local businesses, organizations, groups and individuals to submit a decorated tree that will be raffled off to the public at the end of the event. Western Foothills Land Trust The season finale timed 5K run/walk series on the grass trails at the Roberts Farm Preserve will be held on Sunday, October 23 at 10 a.m. rain or shine. Harvest Hill Farms  We have partnered with Oxford Federal Credit Union to host an educational field trip for 280 Oxford Hills Middle School students on Monday, October 24. WOXO Country 92.7 & 100.7 Country Music Sensation Sean Patrick McGraw is teaming up with OXO Country to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Monday, October 24 from 3-4 pm at the Trolley Restaurant on Main Street in Norway. Donations will be accepted and donated to the Sam and Jennie Bennett Breast Care Center at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

 

Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice Autumn Night Out  The 8th annual Autumn Night Out will be held on October 28 at Martindale Country Club in Auburn. There will be food from "Around the World" as well as a silent and live auction. The event begins at 6:30 pm and reservations are $35 per person. Roctoberfest at the Farm sponsored by Harvest Hill Farms. Maine's top heritage rock band Coo's Canyon will be doing concert/dances at the farm on Saturday evenings during the month of October from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Food and alcoholic beverages are available and the event is open to the whole family. Part of the ticket proceeds will support the local fire and rescue and department. www.harvesthillfarms.com

  

AARP Drive to End Hunger  The Oxford Hills Chapter is asking local residents to help "Load the Boat" on Saturday, October 22 from 1 pm to 3 pm in the Norway Savings Bank parking lot.

Student Aspire Higher March On Wednesday, October 26, the Oxford Hills Middle School students will be participating in the student Aspire Higher March. The students will travel from the Middle School to the High School and we would like area businesses to support our students to aspire higher by displaying green or gold balloons the day of the march. 

 

"Painters, Poets and Players" is at the Lajos Matolcsy Arts Center Gallery. This unique traveling show of collaborating painters, musicians and furniture makers will be on display through October 31. For more details visit www.thewmag.org

Boghooters Snowmobile Club hosts a Hunters Breakfast. On Saturday, October 29 from 5 am to 10:30 am, you can dine on pancakes with maple syrup, home fries, eggs, sausage, toast and bacon at the Club house on Austin Road, just off of Pigeon Hill Road in Mechanic Falls.
